Whether you're coming from Newcastle, Corbridge or round the corner in Hexham here's how to find us.
Please be aware that the studio is closed to the public and access is by appointment only, this includes collecting pottery from workshops.

Coming from Newcastle
Getting to us from Newcastle is easy. Join the A69 and continue for 17 miles until you come to the Bridge End Roundabout. At the roundabout turn left on to the A6079 in to Hexham. Take the 2nd exit at the roundabout on to Alemouth Road and then at the next roundabout take Haugh Lane then a sharp left onto Alexander Place which leads on to Gilesgate. You'll find Obscuria on the right side of the road opposite Mr Wolf.

Coming from Durham
You can get to Hexham via the A69 or A68. The A68 is shorter but you may find the A69 to be an easier drive. Coming via the A68 you will want to join the A691 for around 8 miles then turn left on to the B6296. After 2 miles turn right onto Longedge Lane then turn right when you meet the A68. From there continue for 22 miles until you join the Corbridge Bypass A69.

Coming from Haydon Bridge
From the A69 you can either drop into Hexham via the west end on the B6531 or continue to the Bridge End Roundabout where you will take the 4th exit on to the A6079. From the West end on the B6531 drive past the Co-Op and turn left on to Eilansgate then before the Shell garage turn right on to Alexander Place. You can park up at the Gilesgate carpark and you'll find Obscurial 30 seconds up the hill on the right.
Where to park
Hexham has plenty of parking either on street or in carparks although usually £1 parking disc will need to be displayed. You can get a parking disc from most business in Hexham. There are several on street parking spaces directly opposite Obscuria and there is a carpark 30 seconds walk on Gilesgate. Failing that you can find a space on Beaumont Street or the Wentworth Leisure Centre carpark although that is a 5 min walk and includes a short but steep hill.
