Join a class in our small and friendly studio. Meet like-minded people who share in the love of pottery or who just want to give it a go. Create new friendships and pottery during this 6 week introduction to pottery. Classes are small, no more than 6 people in a session so you will get plenty of support from me and time using the pottery wheel.
6 week pottery course overview:
Week 1- 3 The first 3 weeks will cover all the basics of working with clay, the tools and techniques. You'll make a variety of items including mugs and bowls, if you have something in particular you want to make I will guide you towards this.
Week 4 -5 - The Wheel! Starting in week 4 everyone one will get time on the wheel to develop basic skills of how to throw and create wonderful ceramic pieces.
Week 6 - Time to glaze! Chose your best piece (or pieces) to glaze and decorate before going in for the final fire.
