Who is this pottery class for?
This class is perfect for beginners who want to learn the basics of wheel throwing, as well as intermediate potters looking to refine their skills. No prior experience is necessary.
Is there a minimum age?
Younger children tend to struggle on the wheel and need additional support so unfortunately the minimum age is 14 to use the wheels.
What will I learn?
The fundamentals of wheel throwing
Centering and opening clay
Forming basic shapes such as cylinders and bowls
Techniques for trimming and finishing wheel-thrown pottery
Do I need to bring anything?
All materials and tools are provided. Just bring your enthusiasm and creativity!
Will I get covered in clay?
Yes, working with the pottery wheel can be a bit messy, so be prepared to get your hands dirty. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting clay on. Aprons are provided and clay just washes straight out so don't worry if you get some on your clothes.
